WHAT IS A CO-OPERATIVE?

Housing Co-ops provide at-cost housing for their members.

They are controlled by the members who have a vote in decisions.  There is no landlord!

Each housing Co-operative is a legal association, incorporated as a Co-operative.

About Us

Silverwood Estates is a 40 Unit Housing Co-operative.

We have:

  1.  28 - 3 bedroom townhouses
  2.  2 - 3 bedroom rowhouses
  3.  2 - 2bedroom rowhouses
  4.  5 - 2bedroom apartment
  5.  3 - 1 bedroom apartments.

We are governed by our Bylaws and Policies.

Guided by a Board of Directors, elected by the Members, and several Committees such as maintenance, finance, environment, membership, move in/move out, social and planning.   

If you think Co-operative living is for you, you can download our Application form, complete it, and drop it off at the Office in person or drop it in the mailbox in the Office Door along with the $25.00 Application fee.
